HOW TO SPONSOR A CHILD!

Thank you for your interest in Songs of Joy Ministry.
If you desire to sponsor one of our children you may do so as you partner with us monthly in the amount of $30 per child. For purposes of
sponsorship you may send your monthly check to us through:

Our secretary will forward your support and any accompanying
correspondence to us. Once you begin sponsorship, we will send you
specific biographical information about your child and his/her family, as well
as a photo.
If you'd like to write to your child we'll read your letter
to him/her and help them to respond. Our children always love to get a
personal letter, especially if you enclose a photo. It communicates that
someone cares! Please send letters to:

If you want to bless your child in a special way at
Christmas or Birthday time you may include a separate check to Songs of Joy
appropriately designated. That money will be used to purchase a special gift.
We will then advise you what was purchased and, if possible, send you a
photo. We try to be sure that the children acknowledge each gift they
receive. Please do NOT send packages! We usually have to go to Guatemala City (4 hours away) to the main post office to get a package and they frequently assess taxes that are more than the value of the package.
We will be sending you an "update" on your child
with a new photo about a year after you begin your sponsorship. It is our hope that this will become a
long-term and personally satisfying venture for you. Just remember, please,
that as important as your financial support is to us and to your child, of
much greater importance is your commitment to pray for them and for us. We are
here by the call and grace of God and we rejoice at every victory we see in
the children's lives. We always remember that it is not by might or power but always by the precious ministry of the Holy Spirit that souls are saved, memories
are healed and wounded hearts are made whole. Your prayers do make a
difference!
Our "family" extends over many miles and our
hearts are bound together in love for the sake of the children. We pray that
the Lord will allow you to sense how very important you are to the work that
He is doing here among the children. Because we like to "know" our
partners I would so appreciate it if you could include with your first check a
note to us explaining how you learned of our work and giving us a bit of
biographical information about yourself. And remember, if you can
include a photo it will help your child to relate to you.
We would love for you to visit us here at Songs of Joy! It's a nice thing to support a child but better yet to get your
arms around them. Our kids are very open and always ready to respond to any
